The Dispatch
The Dispatch reads regional coverage from Detroit, Wayne County, Windsor, and Michigan, credits and links the original reporting, and asks one question a neighbor can actually answer — by email, text, call, post, or action.
The Hamtramck Herald is part of the Kotcher family of organizations and editorially distinct from it. Kotcher funds the Herald's civic reporting; the Herald endorses no candidate, party, or ballot outcome.
Nonpartisan nonprofit board
A nonpartisan nonprofit board pushing the boundaries of Montessori education toward an international liberal arts 13-year school — currently seated as a piloting committee.
Project Peace Table began with the Montessori peace table: a quiet, designated space where children calm big emotions, reflect, and talk a disagreement through instead of being sent away from it. The board extends that practice into a full 13-year international liberal arts model — cradle through graduation — where conflict resolution, grace and courtesy, and self-regulation are taught with the same seriousness as reading and mathematics.
The piloting committee is nonpartisan by charter. It seats educators, parents, clinicians, and neighbors from both sides of the Detroit River, tests curriculum and governance in real classrooms, and publishes what fails alongside what works.
